Selena and Salsa Market Returns for Year Two to Celebrate Music, Flavor, and Community in Downtown El Paso

DOWNTOWN EL PASO, TX — The Downtown Management District invites the community to experience the return of the Selena and Salsa Market, happening for its second year in Downtown El Paso.

Join us on Saturday, May 30 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Union Plaza for a free, family-friendly celebration filled with music, culture, and bold flavors.

Inspired by the legacy of Selena, the event features 40+ market and food vendors, a live Selena tribute performance by Jezzika Sax, a Selena look-alike contest, and a salsa tasting competition where attendees can sample and help crown the best salsa in the city.

“This event brings together music, culture, and community while celebrating the legacy and impact of Selena in a way that feels uniquely Downtown,” said Brenda Sanchez, DMD Event Coordinator. “We are excited to bring Selena & Salsa back for a second year.”

The Downtown Management District is proud to once again partner with La Nube STEAM Discovery Center and the Mexican American Cultural Center to help bring the celebration to life.

Set in the iconic Union Plaza District, Selena & Salsa invites visitors to enjoy live entertainment, support local vendors, and experience one of Downtown El Paso’s most vibrant community events.

The event is free and open to the public.
