The El Paso Downtown Management District (DMD) is a municipal government focused on and delivers economic development-driven initiatives, projects, programs and services that create a more vibrant, welcoming environment. The DMD is governed by Board of Directors which adopts the annual budget and provides strategic guidance to achieve the organization’s mission.

The organization is primarily funded by assessment revenue from property within the district and supplemented through collaboration on specific projects and programs with the City, County, and other local organizations and individuals. The assessment rate of $0.12 per $100 of property valuation, the same as the year the DMD was created.

The district (pictured below) is generally bounded on the north by Wyoming Street/I-10, on the south by the Cesar Chavez Memorial Hwy, on the west by Coldwell and Paisano, and on the east by Ochoa and Alley G (Kansas).

The Offices of the El Paso Downtown Management are located at 201 E. Main, Suite 107, El Paso, TX 79901.  Our office telephone number is 915-400-2294. Office hours are typically 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

The El Paso Downtown Management District was officially created in March 1997.
