In 2016, the El Paso Downtown Management District (DMD) launched its Welcome Ambassador Program. This program places friendly, knowledgeable, and identifiable ambassadors on the streets and in public spaces to greet, welcome and assist visitors to our downtown. They are responsible for creating a welcome environment for our guests!
The Downtown Welcome Ambassador Program is a seasonal program running from May to September and November to January. Ambassadors are paid employees of the Downtown Management District and can be easily identified with their bright purple uniforms.
