Property owners can request the installation of a bike rack(s) adjacent to their property through the Downtown Management District (DMD). The DMD and City of El Paso have worked together to streamline the request, installation and maintenance of bike racks in an effort to increase their placement throughout downtown El Paso. Requests will be granted based on funding availability, compliance with City requirements for bicycle Racks, and appropriateness for the area.
The process is this easy:
Step 1 – Complete application. Click here to obtain an application.
Step 2 – Submit Application. Once complete, deliver or mail the completed application with original notarized signature (where applicable) to: El Paso Downtown Management District, 201 E. Main Dr., Suite 107, El Paso, TX 79901.
Step 3 – Application and Site Review. DMD and City Staff will review the application and proposed location. The Applicant should expect a response within 10-15 business days. If the proposed location in on TXDOT right-of-way, please expect additional delays.
Step 4 – Bicycle Rack(s) Installation. Upon approval of the request, the DMD will install the bicycle rack(s) within approximately 45 days from the approval.
