Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Sunú’s Opening in Downtown El Paso
DOWNTOWN EL PASO, TX — A new taqueria and cantina is opening its doors in Downtown El Paso. The El Paso Downtown Management District (DMD) invites the media and community to celebrate the opening of Sunú Taqueria with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 9 at 1:00 PM at 610 N Mesa St.
Inspired by the culture, hospitality, and gathering spirit of Northern Mexico, particularly Chihuahua, Sunú will offer authentic Mexican food, handmade corn tortillas, handcrafted drinks, live norteño music, fútbol matches, themed events, and a welcoming space for the community.
Menu highlights include Tostada de Papada, Tostada de Atún, Tacos Dorados, Ceviches, Volcanes, flautas, and Tacos al Pastor, along with handcrafted margaritas and cantina offerings.
“We’re excited to welcome Sunú to Downtown El Paso and celebrate another locally owned business opening in the heart of our city,” said Ivan Bernal, Marketing & Communications Manager for the El Paso Downtown Management District.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM and will include remarks from DMD representatives and Sunú. The restaurant will celebrate its official grand opening on Thursday, June 11, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
