Downtown El Paso Launches First-Ever Video Podcast, Mi Centro

DOWNTOWN EL PASO, TX — Downtown El Paso is launching its first-ever video podcast, Mi Centro: The Downtown El Paso Podcast, debuting April 29, 2026.

Designed to highlight the people, places, and energy that define the district, Mi Centro offers a behind-the-scenes look at Downtown through conversations with local business owners, community leaders, and event organizers. The podcast brings viewers closer to what is happening now while also spotlighting what is ahead for Downtown El Paso.

Hosted by Ivan Bernal, Marketing & Communications Manager for the Downtown Management District, alongside Events Coordinator Brenda Sanchez, the show blends updates, interviews, and community voices in an engaging and accessible format.

“Mi Centro is about creating a platform where we can tell Downtown El Paso’s story in a more personal and engaging way,” said Ivan Bernal. “Through video, we’re able to bring people closer to the voices and moments that define our community while building a stronger connection with our audience.”

Each episode will feature a mix of segments, including business spotlights, event previews, “Chisme Corner” for insider updates, and “Man on the Street” interviews that capture real voices from Downtown visitors and locals.

The launch episode will include conversations with organizations and partners helping shape the future of Downtown, along with highlights of upcoming events and experiences. Episode one explores a new music festival, Sol Summit Music and Cultura Festival, the proposed Downtown Deck Plaza, the 70th anniversary of The Tap, and the upcoming Selena & Salsa Market.
