EL PASO, TX (January 16, 2026) — In just two weeks, Downtown El Paso will transform into one giant mini golf course as the Downtown Barstool Open returns on Saturday, January 31.
The one-day event invites teams to explore Downtown El Paso in a unique and interactive way, playing mini golf across bars, restaurants, and hotels throughout Downtown. This year, the Downtown Barstool Open expands with the introduction of a brand-new third course, bringing the total to three distinct routes, each featuring nine holes hosted by local businesses.
Presented by Miller Lite, Dos Equis, and Twisted Tea, the event blends friendly competition with Downtown exploration, encouraging participants to experience multiple venues, neighborhoods, and local favorites all in one day.
Participants are also encouraged to turn the tournament into a Downtown staycation, booking a hotel within walking distance of the courses to enjoy the full weekend experience. The celebration kicks off with a Pre-Party and Packet Pickup on Friday, January 30, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at DoubleTree by Hilton El Paso Downtown, where teams can pick up materials, enjoy music, and start the fun early.
In addition to competing for the lowest score, teams often dress in coordinated costumes and compete for awards such as Best Team Costume and Best Team Name, adding to the festive, high-energy atmosphere Downtown.
