Chef NY Sanchez, a culinary artist with deep El Paso roots, brings Corazón back to Downtown El Paso following its success and journey from its original Mesa location to Ruidoso, NM. After enduring the impact of recent wildfires and floods in Ruidoso, Chef NY decided to return home to where it all began, reopening Corazón in the heart of the city she loves.
Chef NY’s passion for cooking began as a child, spending time in the kitchen with her grandmother and father, whose restaurants in Las Cruces instilled a love of flavor and creativity in her. A former softball player on scholarship, she chose to follow her true calling in the culinary arts. Known for her unique fusion of native and Spanish flavors, Chef NY prioritizes using hormone-free meats and natural ingredients, making Corazón a welcoming place for all dietary needs. Alongside her restaurant offerings, she also provides catering and custom cakes.
