Date: Thursday, April 4th, 2024
Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Location: Purple Gallery, 601 N. Oregon St., Suite 3
Scott Hovis II’s artwork transcends traditional boundaries, inviting viewers into a world where possibilities are limitless. In Scott’s own words, “Tourette’s Syndrome has been the hardest and most confusing thing to navigate up to this point in my life. Rather than letting it confine or restrict me, I turn to creating artwork in a style with no boundaries where the possibilities of a painting are limitless, with nothing to shy away from. Instead of being defined or controlled by a ‘disability,’ I use it as my ability to express ideas of my existence infinitely in what has become like a language to me.”
Drawing from their personal journey with Tourette’s Syndrome, Scott infuses their art with intense movement, passionate gestures, and a kaleidoscope of emotions. Each brushstroke is a testament to their resilience, creativity, and unwavering spirit.
They cordially invite you to witness the beauty of “Bloom” and celebrate the extraordinary talent of Scott Hovis II. Join them for an unforgettable evening filled with art, conversation, and inspiration.
