AIA El Paso Architecture Run – 5K Run and fun walk

This event will serve as a fundraiser to support local architecture students and other emerging professionals. Participants will have the choice of running a 5K or walking one mile. Both events starting at the Pioneer Plaza in downtown, across the street from the iconic Plaza Theatre; the course will allow participants to run/walk alongside some of the most emblematic buildings in the city.

In addition to supporting local students and emerging professionals, these events also help us promote the value of good architectural design; to that end, we designed a racecourse in Downtown El Paso around some of our most emblematic historical buildings.

Our 2nd edition race will take place the day after the TxA Convention on Sunday, October 30, 2022, and we expect upwards of 300 people to actively participate in either the 5K Run or the 1 mile Fun Walk. Additionally, we anticipate participant’s friends and family members to take part as spectators on the day of the event.
