The El Paso Wine & Food Festival opens with the Chef Showdown, where 12 culinary teams from the Culinary Institute by Southwest University compete to create dishes paired with craft beer and premium wines. General admission begins at 5 PM; VIP admission begins at 4 PM and includes early entry, a premium wine glass and access to the VIP lounge. The festival is organized by the Rotary Club of El Paso.
