El Paso, TX (September 22, 2023) – Downtown El Paso came alive on September 21, 2023, as more than 1200 enthusiastic employees gathered to celebrate the Downtown Employee Appreciation Day, a resounding success from dawn till dusk. This memorable event was proudly organized by the El Paso Downtown Management District.
The festivities commenced at 7:45 am along Mills Ave, where a sea of smiles and camaraderie set the tone for an unforgettable day. With the sun shining brightly, the event kicked off with high spirits and boundless energy. Highlights of the day included:
- 300 delectable breakfast items served to kickstart the day.
- A delicious feast of 500 lunches to keep the energy levels up.
- Over 500 swag items and giveaways, making sure no one left empty-handed.
Adding an extra layer of fun, the city’s beloved mascots, Chico, Ozzy, Gus, and Goldie, joined the festivities, providing laughter and photo opportunities that will be cherished for years to come.

As the day ended, the celebration continued with a delightful Happy Hour at four downtown bars, Rockstar Burger and Bar, The Reagan, Tiki Room, and B17. Employees enjoyed appetizers and good company, strengthening the bonds of the downtown community.
