El Paso DMD Special Event Permitting Application

Applicant Information - Step 1 of 15

Start the application to obtain a Special Privilege Permit, it is important for you to have the following information and documentation. It is best to begin your application 120 days prior to the event date to allow sufficient time for the application process.

Note: To streamline the application process, it is best to begin when you have all necessary documents completed. If not, you will receive a unique temporary link that expires in 30 days.

Note: If the proposed event is to close portions of State or Federal right-of-way, the written approval of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDot) is required in addition to the approval by the City of El Paso for the event.

Important:

The use of the following streets require approval from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDot). FOr request exceeding four hours, additional insurance and the TxDot from will need to be submitted with the application.

Parking Meters

Here’s a quick guide for getting a meter permit in El Paso:

Give the One Stop Shop a Call: Reach out to them at (915) 212-0104.
Have Your Meter Info Ready: You’ll need the meter and zone numbers from the meters you want to reserve. You can find these numbers right on each meter.
Share Your Dates and Times: Let them know when you’ll need the permit.
Get Your Permit: After you’ve paid for the meter permit, they’ll send it over to you.
Attach to Your Application: If you’re filling out an event application, just include this permit PDF with it.
