On September 15th, Downtown El Paso will come alive with a unique celebration of art, culture, and community during the first-ever Tattoo Crawl, running from 9:15 am to 9:15 pm. This event, envisioned by Angel Reynosa, owner of After Ten Tattoo, brings together three iconic tattoo shops: After Ten Tattoo, Monolith Tattoo, and Sunset Tattoo. Angel, after successfully running his first location in San Diego, CA, opened his second studio in Downtown El Paso, showcasing his passion for giving back to his hometown and creating events that unite the community. The Tattoo Crawl, taking place on 915 Day, is a testament to his love for El Paso.

“I wanted to create something special for the city,” Angel said. “After moving back home, I wanted to collaborate with other shops and bring foot traffic to Downtown. 915 Day felt like the perfect occasion to launch this event.”

Each shop has its own unique styles. After Ten Tattoo focuses on black-and-gray, fine line, and realism styles. Sunset Tattoo focuses on bold, American Traditional designs, while Monolith Tattoo brings a hybrid mix of traditional and Japanese-inspired styles. All three locations have an amazing group of well-rounded artists capable of tackling any style. Attendees will be able to choose from flash designs at each shop, crafted by over 20 talented artists from across the city.

A special guest from Angel’s San Diego location, Vic Alvarez, will be in the 915 to participate in the crawl. As a San Diego native and an accomplished tattoo artist, Vic has already designed his flash pieces for the event and is excited to bring his work to Downtown El Paso.

Beyond the tattoos, the event promises an exciting variety of entertainment. Visitors can expect to see lowrider cars, enjoy live music from bands such as Darling May, Pretty Sour, and Sweet Ventura performing at Sunset Tattoo, and explore pop-ups at various downtown locations like Ghost Fox Toy Store and Gallery, Cafe Rose, and more. A range of vendors, from coffee pop-ups to live screen printing at Eighteen Eighty One, will be scattered throughout the crawl, enhancing the experience.

Other participating downtown businesses will also offer special 915 Day promotions. For example, Ghost Fox Gallery will have toy painting stations and exclusive 915 merchandise, Jane and Jensen Vintage is hosting a meet-and-greet with Issac (@melazak_) and offering snacks and drinks, and Mona Bar of Modern Art will feature karaoke. Visitors can shop with discounts at One Size Fits All and Barrio Vintage, and listen to DJ sets at La Bang Bang.

The event doesn’t stop there. All proceeds from the Tattoo Crawl’s raffles will benefit the El Paso Community Foundation, giving locals the chance to win tattoo giveaways and more. With a range of raffle options available, it’s a great way to contribute to a cause while having a chance to score some incredible prizes.

From tattoos to music, vendors, and raffles, the 915 Day Tattoo Crawl promises a full day of celebration, honoring the vibrancy and creativity of Downtown El Paso. Whether you’re getting inked or simply enjoying the festivities, there’s something for everyone.
