The DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown El Paso is anything but your typical hotel. Since the inception of the project, great care was taken to design an inviting yet stylish atmosphere with a host of services one would expect from the Hilton line of hotels.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the DoubleTree Hotel in Downtown offers great value and services for the special day and special occasion.
Lynn Dornau, Director of Sales and Marketing for the hotel, reminds us, “You are completely capable of doing everything you want for Valentine’s Day under one roof.”
When searching for services downtown signage from prominent restaurants or retails shops grabs attention so that it can be easy to overlook the beautiful hotels that house an array of services themselves. Not just a business solely focused on filling rooms when conventioneers or business professionals are in town, hotels like the Double Tree are often open 7 days of week offering nightlife and dining options for locals as well.
The DoubleTree by Hilton is no exception explains Dornau, “Our restaurant called FIRE, is reason alone to come.”
FIRE will have live entertainment and a four course meal for Valentine’s Day, featuring Duck Breast sautéed with apricots, blood orange juice, green onions and a port wine reduction.
Keen to the needs of the downtown community during the week, FIRE is shifting its menu options to accommodate quicker lunches with more soup and salad offerings. “The dinner menu is also being revised to include more specialty items,” said Dornau. Weather permitting, the hotel has a sunset terrace that rewards you with a picturesque view of the city. “If the weather allows it, the sunset terrace is open year-round and in the summer we have movie nights out there for guests.”
Dornau notes that the DoubleTree offers great packages to have a staycation in our very own city without travel costs. “We have an Al Fresco Fridays! and Staycation package and you can receive a $25 gas card if you stay on certain days of the week.”
“Whether on Valentine’s Day or any other time you want to get away, you can have dinner, drinks, enjoy our rooftop pool and stay the night without ever having to leave the hotel,” said Dornau. Indeed, even if you decided to leave the hotel, its proximity to museums, the Plaza Theatre, convention center and the new crop of downtown bars and restaurants makes for an attractive getaway.
Things to be on the look-out for are:
- Live entertainment on Wednesday and Thursdays with prime rib specials
- Special brunches on Easter and Mother’s Day
- Happy Hour 4-7pm daily
