This week we spoke with Trisha Encinas the co-founder of RockStar Burger Bar located in the Office District of Downtown El Paso (DTEP). The folks at RockStar take pride in serving fresh, incredible tasting burgers, tacos and more! Recently, the local business has made efforts to help feed local frontline healthcare workers. Encinas shared with us how the DTEP business is doing their part for the community.
Earlier this month, RockStar Burger Bar delivered meals to staff at the University Medical Center of El Paso through their partnership with Feed the Frontline a local non-profit organization. Feed the Frontline’s mission is to support local hospital clinicians who are working in grueling conditions and to support El Paso’s local restaurants who have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
“Feed the Frontline has raised money to feed our frontline workers throughout all of our healthcare facilities. We had the honor to serve UMC employees- thanks to this organization.”
Encinas said they are also focusing on incorporating healthy meals or vegetarian options for frontline workers; “We are happy to serve any requests.” The local restaurant will continue to serve the community and facilities who need help, “We are focusing on delivering to anyone that could use an awesome Rockstar meal during these trying times.”
Being of service to the community has been a priority for RockStar since their start as a local food truck in 2015. They strive to make it a point to engage with the city and understand the importance of community and supporting our local heroes on the front line.
“As a local restaurant located in Downtown El Paso, we’ve seen the generosity that our borderland brings to the table. We are staying strong, grateful, and patient. The safety of our employees, customers, and overall city is our priority. We will continue to be ambassadors for downtown, our neighbors, and our restaurant. We urge our city to continue to support local, while still practicing social distancing, and other important measures.”
RockStar Burger Bar is also offering delivery and curbside pickup for the entire community. They are currently open Monday-Saturday from 11 am- 7 pm. You can call
