DESCRIPTION:THE EXCHANGE JAZZ AROUND TOWN – 2026 MUSIC SERIES The Jazz Exchange is excited to continue bringing live jazz to El Paso in 2026 through our Jazz Around Town Music Series. In partnership with local venues and businesses\, this series supports and showcases regional artists\, strengthens our creative economy\, and keeps live jazz thriving in our city. \nJoin us for weekly\, bi-weekly\, and monthly performances across El Paso—intimate listening sessions\, vibrant hangouts\, and community-driven nights that welcome longtime jazz fans and first-time listeners alike. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments— and sign up for our open jam session on the second set of the night. \nTHE GARRISON Every Wednesday | 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM \nMake Wednesdays a jazz night downtown at The Garrison. Enjoy live jazz in a relaxed setting\, mid-week cocktail specials\, and a late-night kitchen open until midnight. A consistent weekly tradition for the El Paso jazz community. \nAdmission: Free.RSVPs are recommended to secure preferred seating and are managed exclusively through The Jazz Exchange (not through the venue). Reservations are held for the first 20 minutes of the event start time. If your party has not arrived within that window\, seating will be released to walk-in guests. \nSeating & Age Policy: Parties of one may be seated at the bar or with other guests to help accommodate all attendees. Guests ages 13–17 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent\, legal guardian\, or supervising adult\, and may only be seated in the lounge area if space is available. \nWalk-ins are welcome and may be seated at the bar (21+ only) on a first-come\, first-served basis. Preferred seating for walk-ins cannot be guaranteed until after the 20-minute RSVP hold period has passed and all reservations have been honored. \nWhat to Expect Jazz Around Town is a listening-focused jazz experience\, not background or ambient music. These performances are presented for guests who come to actively enjoy and engage with the music. \nThe evening is typically presented in two sets: \nFirst Set: A featured house band performs a prepared program for the audience. Second Set: An open jam session\, welcoming participating musicians to join in. \nWe kindly ask guests to be mindful during performances—conversation should be kept to a minimum while the band is playing. DESCRIPTION:The Plaza Classic Film Festival\, which returns for its 19th year July 16-26\, 2026\, was started by the El Paso Community Foundation in 2008 as a special project to bring movies back to the historic Plaza Theatre. The Community Foundation purchased 35mm and state-of-the-art 2K digital projection equipment (upgraded to 4K in 2018) for the atmospheric theater\, which opened in 1930\, closed in the early ’80s\, and was restored for $42 million in 2006 in a joint partnership between the City of El Paso and the Community Foundation. \nhttps://plazaclassic.com/schedule
