DESCRIPTION:Preservation Texas is planning for the opening of its El Paso County Heritage Center in downtown El Paso in March\, 2025. Preservation Texas developed an inaugural exhibit focusing on the 1936 Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) photographs taken by San Antonio architect Marvin Eickenroht (1898-1969)\, featuring churches and residences in the West Texas communities of El Paso\, San Elizario\, Ysleta\, and Socorro.  The exhibit will showcase ten (10) high-resolution photographs with accompanying text. The center will have Preservation Texas merchandise available for purchase. Stay tuned for other events!

It’s part of the El Paso Community Foundation Jewel Box Series at the Philanthropy Theatre. \nGeneral admission tickets are $15\, on sale at the Plaza Theatre Box Office (no service fees) and Ticketmaster (with service fees). \nPeter and the Starcatcher\, based on the popular children’s books by journalist Dave Barry and novelist Ridley Pearson\, tells the backstories of Peter Pan\, Tinker Bell\, Hook and Mrs. Darling. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes\, it playfully explores the depths of greed and despair\, and the bonds of friendship\, duty and love. \nThis production is the first by SOMOS\, a new performing arts group founded by Beth Leffler and Josey Pickett\, a mother-daughter team of performers and educators\, and educator Manny Lothamer.
