Family Day: Juneteenth
⏰ 1PM – 4PM
🗓️ Saturday, June 17
📍 El Paso Museum of History
✨Free Event
Join the El Paso History Museum for our free “Family Day” event to celebrate the histories and stories behind Juneteenth with artist, educator, and performer Anthony Michael Stokes. Anthony will be performing with his Patchwork Girl puppet, who is inspired by the tradition of the rag doll in African cultures and represents a collection of the Black diaspora’s hopes and dreams. He will also be debuting a new puppet as part of this program! Visitors will be invited to build their own puppets inspired by Patchwork Girl, reflecting on the constellation of people and experiences that have made them the person they are today.
