The Downtown Downtown Management District (DMD) launched the Fresh Air Food Court program in an effort to support the food and beverage businesses in Downtown this summer. Because there is still a need to support Downtown businesses in this way, the Fresh Air Food Court is returning on August, 27th, and will run through the end of the year. The Fresh Air Food Courts will support Downtown brick and mortar food service businesses by expanding seating capacity and providing customers with a safe, sanitized, and socially distanced dining experience.
The Downtown amenity opens on Thursday, August 27th and will run daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday until the end of the year.
LIVE entertainment every Friday and Saturday evening 7pm-9pm!
The Fresh Air Food Court provides the public an opportunity to buy from local Downtown restaurants and cafés, then dine in our social distanced, sanitized, fresh air, on-street seating area located on Mills Avenue between Mesa and Oregon Streets. The amenity is perfect for coffee meetings, date night, and family meals.
“We empathize with businesses and understand the past few months have been extremely stressful. We applaud all of their efforts to sustain their livelihoods during this time. This program will remind everybody of the great environment our Downtown offers, and that we can still experience and enjoy our Downtown in a responsible way,” Joe Gudenrath, DMD Executive Director.
To help ensure the safe and responsible operation of the dining area, the DMD will have staff on duty throughout the day to sanitize the area and assist guests. Guests are asked to abide by the following rules:
- Please wait to be seated.
- Seating is for customers only – 90 minute time limit.
- Only parties of 6 or less allowed.
- No tipping.
- Maintain a minimum of 6 feet between parties.
- Face coverings required until seated.
- No smoking in area.
- Please dispose of trash.
