The Downtown Management District (DMD) and the City of El Paso have teamed up to support Downtown El Paso businesses by providing parking spaces specified for pick-up or delivery. Finding ways to continue to support the operation of businesses is crucial, but to do so in a way that is effective and safe is the challenge.
Manny Barquin, Manager of the Church Bar, serving food by Zona Centro Mexican Eatery told us, “We just want to thank you [the customer] and the [DMD and the City of El Paso] for helping us during times like this. These spots have helped our business so our guests can get their food in a safe way. It was an amazing idea.”
We also spoke with Omar Vazquez, owner of the Craft and Social. The business, normally known for specializing in craft beer has pivoted and now provides just as much food as beer with pick-up and delivery,”We’re grateful for the Downtown Management District allocating these spots for local businesses during these trying times. Working together is how we get through this,” said Vazquez.
