Art enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike are in for a treat this May as the Art-venture Mural Scavenger Hunt kicks off in El Paso. Organized by the El Paso Downtown Management District, this unique and interactive event promises to be a fun-filled experience that combines the thrill of a scavenger hunt with the beauty of public art.
The Art-venture Mural Scavenger Hunt is a month-long event that invites participants to explore the streets of downtown El Paso and discover its vibrant and diverse mural art scene. With the city as their canvas, these murals showcase the creativity and talent of the local art community.
During the Art-venture Mural Scavenger Hunt, participants will have the opportunity to search for and admire these captivating murals while solving clues and completing challenges along the way. The scavenger hunt will take participants on a journey through different downtown neighborhoods, each offering a unique set of murals to discover. Whether it’s exploring the historic San Jacinto Plaza or wandering through the bustling Union Plaza Entertainment District, participants are in for an art-filled adventure.
To participate in the Art-venture Mural Scavenger Hunt, participants are highly encouraged to text “MURAL” to 9159006062 starting May 1st to receive instructions on how to join the fun. Alternatively, participants can pick up a brochure at the El Paso Downtown Management District (DMD) office at 201 E. Main St., Suite 107. The brochure will contain clues and instructions on how to play. For every three murals found, participants will be entered into a raffle; they are able to receive up to six entries. The event is open to individuals and teams, making it a perfect activity for families, friends, or even solo adventurers looking to connect with their artistic side.

As an outdoor event, the Art-venture Mural Scavenger Hunt encourages participants to practice safe and responsible exploration. Participants are also encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #ArtventureEP23 and tag @downtownelpaso.
