10 Romantic Things to Do in DTEP for Valentine’s Day

One of most difficult things about Valentine’s Day is deciding how to celebrate it with your significant other. We make it easy for you to plan a romantic day out in Downtown El Paso with our list whether you’re a couple that loves to eat out or you enjoy an experience. Check it out below and make sure to call ahead to reserve!

For the Foodies

TABLA

Located in Union Plaza, Tabla boasts a menu of  spanish-style tapas loaded with unique flavors. The location is rustic and the lights are dimmed low for a romantic and cozy ambiance. Afterwards, take a walk under the string lights of Union Plaza to the small park on Anthony St. to add that extra charm to the date.

 115 Durango St.           (915) 533-8935

NISHI RAMEN

This place makes their own noodles fresh everyday and while you’re tilting your head back to slurp a bowl of hot ramen, it’s hard to miss the beautiful wavy ceiling featured at Nishi. It’s truly an architectural piece you have to see for yourself. As for the ramen, you can have a classic bowl or one with some local flavor like the Pozole Ramen. Plus what’s more romantic than a warm bowl in your hands while staring into your Valentine’s eyes?

504 W San Antonino Ste B.           (915) 303-7288

PARK TAVERN

This restaurant has only been open for less than a year and it has already  garnered a reputation for good food and a great place to gather in Downtown. Bring your Valentine here for New American Cuisine with a Southwestern twist that includes dishes like the Wild Boar Ribs. Enjoy the Churro Sundae for a dessert and walk off the food with a stroll at San Jacinto Plaza.

204 Mills                        (915) 228-9050

CAFE CENTRAL

Tucked beside the Plaza Hotel, Cafe Central is known for being one of the most romantic spots in the city and this year they are celebrating their 100th Anniversary. Enjoy a night of truly being pampered with their service and fine dining. We recommend you try the Chilean Sea Bass along with one of their signature cocktails.

ANSON11

Right across the San Jacinto Plaza sits Anson11, where casual and fine dining meet in one place. They have a bistro downstairs and an upscale dining experience upstairs. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet indulgent just by taking in the beautiful interior decor. They’re offering a set menu for Valentine’s Day which includes dishes like the Lamb Loin Filet.

FIRE RESTAURANT

Fire is located inside the Doubletree by Hilton in Downtown El Paso  and serves casual-to-uptown cuisine. Treat your significant other to a four-course dinner that includes a Valentine’s Day-worthy dessert like the Spiced Molten Chocolate Cake. Afterwards, take your honey on a stroll by the Southwest University Park and through Cleveland Square Park.

501 BAR & BISTRO

You’ll find 501 Bar & Bistro in the San Carlos Building, a rustic and charming location with an outdoor patio and more windows than you can count. The old-world charm will add to the night and bring out the romantic in you. Bring your love to 501 for a French-inspired, four-course dinner featuring Chef David Benavidez.
